Faux brick fireplace – Faux brick finish can be used for entire walls, small areas, floors or areas that you want to be focal points in a room. Most brick faux finish can be made with either brick-shaped sponges or with templates. Different colors are used, depending on the type of brick you want to simulate and whether you want to show bricks missing or spots or accessories brick finish with other faux finish.

Paint a wall in the living room, den or bedroom with a faux brick fireplace to make it a rustic, warm focal wall. Use templates to get an even faux brick finish. Add a touch of darker brown and burnt umbers getting dark, oxidized stain effects of bricks. Use a darker red for a more intense look, or use tan or dark umbers to a sand-colored brick wall for a more subtle look.

Paint a faux brick fireplace in an unused portion of a wall, and paint a trompe l’oeil fire. Mix faux brick and faux stone for a more unique effect. If you have a real fireplace, paint faux brick on it. Add oranges, reds, yellows and reddish-purple to a more colorful, unique look. Add faux plants on the fireplace mantle for an extra realistic effect.
